Make a chart with all the information you have just learned about these two men and reflect on what you have learnt.

Include the work done by the historians (a new biograhphy), the journalists (a summary), the writers (a letter), the photographers (photographs and the description). N THIS PROJECT STUDENTS WILL WORK WITH THE TEACHER FIRST. ASKING AND ANSWERING QUESTIONS, LOOKING AT THE MAPS (AFRICA AND INDIA), READING SOME QUOTES AND GUESSING WHO THE QUOTES BELONG TO, REFLECTING WHY MANDELA AND GANDHI HAVE WRITTEN THEM, IN WHICH SITUATION OR PERIOD IN HISTORY AND WHY. THEN, STUDENTS WILL WATCH A VIDEO, TAKE DOWN NOTES IF POSSIBLE AND DISCUSS ABOUT IT. THEN WORKING IN THEIR COMPUTERS THEY WILL READ THE BIOGRAPHIES AND CREATE A TIMELINE USING THAT TOOL. NEXT STEP WILL BE TO USE THE INFORMATION IN THE TIMELINE TO COMPLETE A CHART.
